Some favorite family pics!

Hagen at a beach in San Diego.

Family pic at the beach in San Diego.
Addison at his preschool graduation.

Abell snowboarding in front of our house.
Breeley on her new big girl bed.

How cute is this picture???
I just wanted to post some of my favorite pictures. Just in case I get really sad and miss my kids too much while I am away. Maybe I will find internet access at the hotel and can view my blog. I can't believe I am leaving them for 9 days! I have been so excited to go on the trip until about Thursday, then I realized how long we are going to be gone and I started getting really sad about going. I know Adam and I are going to have so much fun and we are going to love being together, but it is so weird to think about being gone for so long.

Cabo San Lucas

In just six short days Adam and I are leaving for this beautiful place. We have had the trip planned for 18 months so we are so excited to finally go. We are staying for seven nights in Cabo and then a night in LA. (Thanks to Delta's schedule changes.) My sister in law Jen is staying with our kids!!! They are so excited for her to stay here! It is going to be such a fun week for everyone!

BOUTIQUE IS ON SEPTEMBER 26 and 27th!!!

This is my one of my new tutu's. It would be really fun for a birthday girl!
I started sewing satin ribbon around the bottom of the tulle. I think it looks so pretty and would look great in a black and white photo. I have begged Bree to pose for me, and it is the wrong time of day, week, or month. Breeley just brought me the purple tulle and asked me to make her a purple one. Maybe I can bargain with her and get her to pose for pictures in it??? By the way, I wish all my enemies in life (if I have any) have to sew with tulle all day long.

Treasure Box Boutique

Can you tell what I have been busy doing??

I have been busy making purses, handbags, totes, church bags, school bags, or just bags! My cousin Laci and her friend run a boutique in Roy called The Treasure Box Boutique twice a year. After having me make a tutu for her daughter (Cutest Brinlee ever!) she told me about her boutique and encouraged me to put some of my tutu's in it.
Well, I have never ever done anything like that before and I really don't even know what made me start selling them, but I thought it COULD be a fun experience. I really have fun making the handbags, so I thought I would make some and put them in "my space" as well.
I am really excited to see how it goes and I keep trying to decide which of the bags I hope doesn't sell (If any of them even sell) so I can use it when Adam and I go to Cabo in two weeks.
I am going to put pictures of the bags in my etsy store and make them as they sell. That is how a number of the etsy stores do their bags and when I first thought about it, I thought it was really dumb but now that I have pre-made so many, I understand that it is necessary so you are only spending your time making things that people want to buy and really like.
I have also changed my tutu's a bit. I hope it makes them easier for the little girls to wear and hopefully they won't get lost in all the tulle! I have bought some really darling ribbon that I am hoping I can add to the tulle to make it extra special.
Anyway, if you are in the area and want to see some way darling tutu's and handbags and other cute things... you should stop by the boutique.
It is at 5426 S. 3500 W. (Across the street from Kents) and it will be open September 26th and 27th. Friday 1 pm until 7 pm and Saturday 10 am until 4 pm.
What am I thinking... I can't believe I am doing this... Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone!

Third post of the day

I am posting this picture for my friend Amy. She has a post of long hair/short hair for her boys. This is my favorite picture of Abell with his long hair. It was taken in the fall of 2007. He will hopefully never have long hair like this again. We told him he could do it until he received the priesthood. Despite some very lucrative offers for him to cut it, he kept growing it out, until one day he decided it was enough and he passed me a note in sacrament asking for a haircut. (He didn't get paid any money.) Now he only has about 8 months until he turns 12. That's not enough time for his hair to get that long. :0)

What do you do.....

What do you do when you have a lot of boys at your house RIGHT after school???

You make RICE CRISPY TREATS!!!
There always has to be one that doesn't want what you have... Addison really wanted a bowl of Lucky Charms... (Which I let him have!)

Quote of the day!

We went on a walk before lunch today. Conditions were perfect!
Sometimes Breeley really likes to get her pictures taken.
Especially when there is a red sucker as a reward for standing still!

Today while I was sewing Breeley was watching me and I told her "I love you so much, I am so glad you decided to come to our family." She replied "Me too, it's pretty fun to be here!" I had to just grab her and give her a big hug!

Boys First Day of School!

Abell's first day of SIXTH grade.
Hagen's first day of FOURTH grade.
Addison's first day of FIRST grade.

Since I posted about Breeley's first day of preschool, I thought I would go back and post some pics of the boys first day of school. They attend year round school so their summer was a whopping three weeks long, so they didn't have that build up of excitement for the new school year to start. (I was lucky to be able to get them in swimming lessons during the weeks we were off track. In years past, I have checked them out of school everyday for two weeks so they can have swimming lessons.) The week before we went back to school, I was granted my track change and we were switched from B to C track. C track had all the teachers the boys wanted, so we were very excited! (I don't like C track!)
The boys love their classes and teachers and are having a good time. We went to school for three weeks, then went off track for three weeks. This week is their first week back on track, and I am happy. I was and still am so sad that Addi is in school all day. But it is nice to have them all gone all day. Our evenings are very busy with homework, soccer practices, scouts, friends, dinner, young womens, and now Breeley's tumbling. I keep telling myself that it will get easier in a few weeks when the sports are over, but then the next sport starts and it starts all over again. I know I can just not sign them up to play, but they are only kids once, so if they want to play... they get to. (I hope they get time to read this with their extra computer time at school, they will be so excited to see their pictures!)

Busy Thursday Morning!

Breeley is demonstrating how well her new ice cream toothbrush works.

Kool-aid stained face... compliments of preschool!

Today was a crazy day! Hagen had a student council meeting this morning, so I had to drive him over to the school at 7:45 am. Then I came back home, found all the "very important papers that mom has to sign" for Abell, then we all rode our bikes to school. Breeley and I hurried home and got ready for the day so we could go back to the school and volunteer in Addison's class. This is the first time I have volunteered this year since we are C track and have been off track for the last three weeks.
Anyway, while Mrs. Thompson was showing me all the things I need to do when I come in to help, my new phone kept vibrating in my pocket. Once Mrs. Thompson was done talking to me, I was interested to see why my phone was vibrating. Thinking I had received a call, a text or an email. My phone was telling my that Breeley had her first dentist appointment at 9:30 and it was giving me my 5 minute warning! So I had to tell Mrs. Thompson that I am a total idiot, and my phone just reminded me that Breeley has a dentist apt in two minutes in Syracuse. So we went running up the hall, and made it to her appointment ten minutes late. She was really good, and they all thought she was so cute. Since it was her first time at the dentist, they gave her a special toothbrush that does the spinning action to help her get her teeth sparkling clean. Then they let her pick a prize and she picked two, but since she was so good, the let her keep both of them... a tiara and a wand!

Then we jumped back in the car and drove back to the school and did the volunteer work, came home ate lunch then I took Breeley to school. I came home picked things up a bit, ran back to West Point to pick up Breeley from school. On my way home I realized that Hagen didn't have a bike or scooter to ride home with Abell and Addison. So now I have to go back to the school for the FIFTH time today so I can pick up Hagen!!!

Breeley's First Day of School!

Breeley was too excited to go to school, she COULD NOT hold still long enough for me to take a picture. She just kept jumping up and down and picking leaves off the bush behind her!

I ALWAYS take a picture of the kids from the back. I think it is so fun to watch their bookbags and backpacks shrink as they grow bigger. Plus, their bums look so darn cute!
Seriously, can she even get any cuter??

Well today was the big day! The day Breeley officially starts preschool. She is attending the famous Montgomery's Kiddie Kollege. Abell, Hagen and Addison all went to this preschool when they were three and four. There are several preschools that are much closer to my house, one even houses away, but I just love Kiddie Kollege. It is not a big fancy, your child will be creating websites, and reading dictionaries by the time they are five school. They teach the kids all the good fun songs that everyone needs to know, how to write their names, the alphabet forward and backwards and they even teach them how to say please and thank you when you want the butter. Today was a short day, so I had a whole hour and 15 minutes with NO KIDS. It was weird to be in Roberts and not feel guilty because I was there with no kids. I am so excited, yet I am so sad. I have had a kid home with me for over 11 years. I am sure the alone time will do me some good, and I am sure that I will get used to it rather quickly.
Anyway, Breeley was so cute and excited to go to school. But when they rang the bell, and asked the students to get in line she just stayed right by me and said "I want to be with you, mom". It was so sweet. (The boys just gave me a high five and said see ya later!) I knelt down and gave Bree lots of hugs and told her if she starting feeling sad to tell Miss Tara, and she would help her feel better. After the line of kids walked into the building, Breeley slowly let go of my hand and stepped inside. It was such a sweet moment.
She had a great time and is so excited to go tomorrow! Too bad she doesn't have school tomorrow.
