My funny boy!

Addison told Adam and I about a dream he had this weekend...
I dreamed I couldn't talk, so I signed up for a school that would teach me to talk.
I didn't know it was in Mexico.
They taught me how to speak spanish.
I didn't know I was speaking spanish.

He thought it was the funniest dream ever! Man, I love that boy! When ever I tell him I love him, he ALWAYS tells me he loves me more.
Whenever I tell him I am glad I am his mom, he ALWAYS tells me he is glad he is my son.
He always knows how to brighten my day! He is the smartest and funniest boy ever! Man just thinking about him make me love him even more.

Stop!

While I was cleaning the storm door window, this is what I saw outside. Breeley was taking a minute to smell the flowers.

Yummy!!!

Uuummm, where's the last black pot?

So last weekend I bought some new flowers for my front yard. I brought them home and while Adam was taking down the christmas lights (FINALLY), I walked around the flower gardens and placed them where I thought they could be planted. I went back to the garage and grabbed a shovel and then started planting. While I was planting, Breeley was playing in the dirt with her little pink shovel and I didn't think anything of it. (I could fill in the hole she dug later.) Well, when I was done I picked up the little black pots the flowers came in and realized I only had five. Oh well I thought, one of the kids must have grabbed it and is playing with it somewhere . I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing I just saw that all six plants were in the ground, so my job was done. Well, two days later I was watering said plants and noticed this one was planted in the ground still in its pot! Breeley was playing in the dirt very near it's location. She must have watched me planting the flowers and decided to help. She did a good job (minus leaving the plant in the pot!)!!! It was so funny. I can't beleive I didn't realize it sooner! Gosh I love her!
Do you see the pot!
I don't know how I missed it...

So Thankful!

I am so thankful for ballet shoes. The other day I was picking up the clean laundry pile off the couch and I picked up something extra at the bottom of the pile. It was one of Breeley's ballet shoes. It was kinda funny to find it. She has been in dance for almost a year, but this is the first time that her shoes didn't get put right back in her dance bag after her lessons. Anyway, I just took a moment to look at the tiny shoe and was so greatful to have it be a part of my life. For so long I wanted a daughter to buy ballet shoes for and now I have one. I am so thankful for her. I am so thankful to have tiny ballet shoes in my life.
(Yes... I am one of those people who pile up the clean laundry until it is all done and fold everything at one time.)

Abell did it!!!

Scout buddies... Jayden, Eric, and Abell.
He is so excited!
Brother Nielsen giving Abell his merit badges.

Abell received his Second Class rank in scouts.
He also earned two merit badges.
He was so excited!
He has been waiting for an overnight camping trip to be able to complete the last few things he needed to get the new rank.
Abell is so in love with the scouting program. It is his first priority. He always makes sure that he remembers to go to scouts. If he has a baseball or basketball practice that overlaps, he always chooses to go to scouts. I am so happy that he has so much enthusiasm for it. I hope it continues until he gets the Eagle rank. He has set the goal and is on track to receive it way before he turns 16. So lets cross our fingers!
He has an awesome scout leader... Brother Nielsen. He has really inspired Abell to be the best scout possible. He always goes the extra mile for the boys. I am so thankful to have such a great leader for Abell to start out with. I think it is going to make a big difference. Too bad he only gets to be with him until he turns twelve in about six weeks.
I am so proud of who Abell is becoming. He has such a great testimony. When things get tough at school or with friends, he always chooses the right. He is a great example to me.

My weekend away.

It was finally time for my semi annual scrapbook retreat. We had so much fun shopping at the outlets, eating out, watching old movies, sleeping in, staying up too late and just being together. I have the best group of friends. I really am lucky!
Oh yea... we all did do a little scrapbooking. The hot tub was emptied without our consent so we had to do something to fill in that gap! :)

I am blue.

So after reading Ali's blog, I decided to see what my "color" is. I know I took this quiz in high school at a leadership conference, but I couldn't remember what my color was. So I logged onto colorcode.com and took the free test. It was kind of hard to think about how I was as a child. For some reason I can't remember that much from that long ago. But I am a blue, and after reading it, it sounds like me. Even though I might not like it!

Blues are motivated by Intimacy. They seek to genuinely connect with others, and need to be understood and appreciated. Everything they do is quality-based. They are loyal friends, employers, and employees. Whatever or whomever they commit to is their sole (and soul) focus. They love to serve and give of themselves freely in order to nurture others' lives.

Blues have distinct preferences and have the most controlling personality. Their personal code of ethics is remarkably strong and they expect others to live honest, committed lives as well. They enjoy sharing meaningful moments in conversation as well as paying close attention to special life events (e.g. birthdays and anniversaries). blues are dependable, thoughtful, and analytical; but can also be self-righteous, worry-prone, and moody. They are "sainted pit-bulls" who never let go of something or someone once they are committed. When you deal with a BLUE, be sincere and make a genuine effort to understand and appreciate them.

Although I am not good at the special life events. I think I avoid those because I am afraid of not being able to do it as I really want it. So I just don't bother.

Anyway, it was kind of interesting and I would love to see what colors all of you are. So check it out and post about it!

Breeley's Graduation.

Breeley graduated from the 3 year old class at Montgomery's Kiddie Kollege. She was so excited for her graduation. Even though I am sure she really didn't understand what it really meant. She really did a great job. She didn't spell her name like she was supposed to. When I asked her why she didn't do that part she just simply said "I didn't want to." with a duh mom attitude. But she did do her part on explaining a rectangle. It really was so fun. She was just like the boys were at their graduations and sat there and did goofy things while she was soppose to be singing songs. Her flower came off her dress and she kept whispering loudly to me that her dress was broke and she wanted to come off the stage so I could fix it. I was so glad she didn't.

Adam gave her flowers after her graduation and that sent her over the moon. She LOVES flowers and she thinks it is so cool to get some from her dad.

Abell and Hagen had explained to her on Monday night that she would have a new teacher for her four year old class. She didn't seem that upset about it then. But whe I picked her up from her last day of school, she got in the truck and just started sobbing that she was never going to see Miss Melinda again. It was so sad to see her so sad. She really did enjoy going to school each day. I am so thankful to have such a great place to send her.
The best part is, she is already registered for next year! I don't have to go get in line at midnight! YIPPEE!!!

A Jazzy Derby!

Last weekend was our cub scout packs Pinewood Derby. I was not able to attend, but Adam was able to take the kids and boy did they have fun!
Hagen wanted his car to have a Jazz theme. So they printed off the Jazz logo and made some stripes and then just sprayed a gloss on it so the car would look like the basketball floor. Hagen and Adam really had fun working on it together. (I think their love for the Jazz made it even more exciting for them.)
Hagen's Jazz car took first place! He was so excited!!!! This is the second time he has won first place! He really was proud of his car. He thinks it is the coolest thing ever! I was so proud of him and was so excited when he called to tell me he had won. I love you so much Hagen!
