So I have been busy cleaning/painting/caulking my new "Happy Room" and I came across this box. I was going to go take it to the garbage can outside, but then thought I would quickly snap a picture of it and post a funny story about it.
One night a few weeks ago Adam and I were up watching TV and it was like 10:30 or 11:00 pm. All of a sudden Addison walked into our room with his head stuck in this box! We tried pulling it off and had to actually rip it to get it past his ears. It was soooo soooo sad. When we got the box off, his face was red, sweaty, and had tears streaming down his cheeks. I quickly gave him a hug and his hair smelled like cardboard. He said he had been sleeping with the box on his head. We felt so sad. We thought he had put the box on his head, got it stuck, and fell asleep trying/crying to get it off. Not to mention I was mad at Abell and Hagen for not helping him.
The next morning we got the real story...
All three boys were playing a basketball game with Hagen's little over the door rim. (After we had tucked them in.) Abell had told Addison he wasn't very good at basketball which made him feel bad which made him decide to put the box on his head! (Makes sense right???) Well he sat on his bed with the box on his head and decided to see what it would be like to sleep with a box on his head. So he propped the "front left corner" on the rail of his top bunk and off he went to dream land. He said he had no idea "How hot it would get in there!" When he woke up and tried to get the box off, he discovered it was stuck on his ears! So that is why he came upstairs to get help.
We were so relieved to hear the real story so we didn't have to be so sad that he fell asleep trying to get the box off his head. Now we can just laugh about it because it was something he chose to do. We did give him a strict warning on NEVER going to sleep with anything on his head! No boxes, sacks or masks or anything else!!!
